Bautype is a game that activates basic areas of cognitive development and concentration. It combines learning the alphabet with modular design. Color, shape, and dimensions come together to build letters.
Teaching cards are used where one of many ways to build these letters is proposed. Its geometric pieces can assemble these letters in infinite ways, as well as other elements: animals, buildings, and other designs. The game has been designed to offer support for total creative freedom. Playing is the main way for young children to learn. By presenting children with differences in their abilities and learning styles, we have a toy that avoids standardization, improving their executive functions in motor skills and attention span, memory retention, and spatial discrimination. Since the pieces are not scaled to the cards (they are general references, but not exactly correlative in the same size shown in the example), the ability to discriminate sizes and shapes comes into play.
Bautype is a perfect game to reinforce spatial orientation and constructive praxis. It tests and teaches the relationship of the player's body with space. It helps to calculate distance and space through the different measurements of the shapes and their possible placement. It is a game that can be used in the therapeutic field, through the graduation of level and adaptation by the therapist, who can propose different challenges such as visually discriminating the pieces needed to copy a design, either from the sample card or from a design created with the game's own pieces.
On the other hand, Bautype is a game of literacy very complete, proposing a whole series of writing and design skills, generating very artistic lettering that, when presented, solidifies the calligraphic, structural, and spatial knowledge of our alphabet. It is a good tool for reinforcing this knowledge in a fun and creative way.

On the back of the flashcards, we will find a brief and basic explanation of a concept, artist, work of art, etc. on which, if desired, one can delve deeper. These definitions are always associated with the letter and concept on the card. Later, on the back itself and marked with a yellow circle, an challenge or activity is presented as an alternative, also associated with the same theme presented. This not only deepens artistic knowledge but also develops critical and creative thinking.
Bautype evolves during the early stages of learning, reinforcing the alphabet, presenting it in an attractive way, and then, after a few years, generating debates and conversations around artistic concepts and movements.
Very soon we will talk to you in more depth about the therapeutic uses that the Bautype game could have 😊
