Bautype version 2 is born!

If you have been following us since our beginnings, you already know that design, production, and Verkami have been important challenges that have occupied a lot of our time until now. We are very proud to announce that we have made great progress and have consolidated the entire project. It is now a reality in every sense of the word. To demonstrate this, last week we announced the news live on our Instagram and here we bring you a summary of this news.

1. In terms of design, we have slightly modified the black pieces that we internally call “the stairs”. Basically, we widened them a bit and revised some curves to obtain a more homogeneous and robust design, but without losing the elegance and coherence with the rest of the pieces.
   
   
2. In this new version, all pieces have unpainted edges, as this more natural aspect reveals the base material, which is still MDF wood. We highlight this aspect so that there is no more doubt about the material or the artisanal manufacturing method, as some still had doubts and did not believe it was a wooden game made by hand.
   
   
3. Furthermore, we continue to be even more sustainable. How do we do it? The MDF wood we started using for this new production is a PEFC certified wood which comes from controlled and sustainable forests. Tree that is used, tree that is planted.
   
   
4. Regarding the raw material and the way of producing, we follow true to our principles, as both processes are carried out right here, in Catalonia. A local product.
   
   
5. Thanks to your feedback, we have also decided to include a fabric bag inside the packaging, replacing the craft paper bag. The fabric bag is more durable and also comes great if you want to take Bautype on a trip or even if you don't want to use the cardboard box for storing the game.
   
   
6. On the box sticker, we also included a badge in the shape of a flag for several languages that we already have available: Spanish, Catalan, and Czech. The English version will arrive soon.
