Our Story
From a hand-painted letter to a game platform and workshops.
We didn't start out wanting to found a game company. We started with a hand-painted typography inspired by Bauhaus and the certainty that learning doesn't have to be boring.
Today we design artisanal games and creative workshops that are already used by museums, educational centers, therapists, psychologists, residences, and thousands of families around the world. But we are still two people thinking about each piece.

Our Philosophy: The why behind Bauplay
We want to simplify play. Faced with the saturation of noisy plastic toys with only one possible path, we opt for simplicity. Less is more creativity.
A game that does not limit a child's imagination is an evolutionary game that lasts a lifetime. That's why we don't include manuals or closed instructions.
Design to evolve, endure, and connect
We believe in local materials, artisanal processes, and a design that not only entertains children but also invites adults to sit down and play with them, as well as helping in specific areas.
The journey so far
Three key milestones of our project
01 · The Origin (2019)
It all started when Eva painted an alphabet inspired by Bauhaus. What began as an artistic and typographic design exploration soon became the basis of a modular game system. Adding artistic cards, something Eva would have liked to have in her childhood.
02 · The Crowdfunding (2021)
After prototyping and testing the pieces in workshops, we launched a crowdfunding campaign for Bautype. The massive support showed us that there was a real desire to return to manual and tangible play. And from Bautype we created Bauplay.
03 · The Community (Today)
Bauplay is a reality today. We have expanded our catalog with Bauboards and Bauboards XL, workshops for children and adults, companies, centers, and therapists, and a consolidated active learning method. And we don't plan to stop there...
